Korea Airports Corporation Hosts 2nd Smartphone Airport Photo Contest Featuring 14 Airports Nationwide
Expertise Enhanced through Joint Hosting with Korea Photojournalists Association
Entries Accepted Until August 18; 20 Winners to Receive a Total of 7.5 Million Won in Prizes
Korea Airports Corporation announced that, starting from June 15 until August 18, it will hold the "2nd Smartphone Airport Photo Contest" in collaboration with the Korea Photojournalists Association, featuring 14 airports nationwide as the backdrop.
This contest is being held for the second time, following last year’s inaugural event. It aims to discover and share moments that capture a wide range of emotions and experiences of airport users—such as the excitement of travel, precious memories, reunions, and farewells—all set against the backdrop of airports.
The contest theme is "Every Moment with Airports." Participants are encouraged to freely capture and submit moments filled with their emotions and stories using their smartphones—whether it’s memories with family, friends, and colleagues, or special experiences with pets, all set in an airport setting.
Any citizen of the Republic of Korea is eligible to participate, and each person may submit up to two entries. All photographs must be taken by the participant using a smartphone and must have been taken on or after October 1, 2025.
The corporation will select a total of 20 winners through a review by internal and external experts. Notably, in response to the strong interest and enthusiastic participation last year, the number of winners has been increased this year, and a national online vote will be introduced to further enhance public participation.
The total prize pool amounts to 7.5 million won, with the grand prize winner receiving 1.5 million won. Additionally, 100 contest participants will be randomly selected to receive coffee coupons as part of a special event.
The winning entries will be announced in September and will later be released to the public through exhibitions at airports.
