Sahmyook University Signs International Exchange Agreement with Indonesia's Brawijaya University
Expanding Global Education and Academic Exchange
Sahmyook University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Universitas Brawijaya in Indonesia to promote international education and mutual understanding.

View original imageFounded in 1963, Brawijaya University is a top-tier national comprehensive university located in Malang, East Java, Indonesia. With more than 60,000 students enrolled across over 15 colleges, it is a large educational institution that consistently ranks among the top five universities nationally in major Indonesian university rankings. Recently, the university has focused on strengthening its internationalization efforts through academic exchanges and joint research with leading global universities.
Under this agreement, the two universities have agreed to establish academic and research collaboration programs and to exchange human and material resources. The specific areas of cooperation include: student exchange for language training and regular degree programs; exchange of faculty and staff in specialized fields; support for the development of academic and professional programs; and exchange of publications and research reports.
Sahmyook University, in particular, plans to actively attract outstanding students from Brawijaya University as international students by utilizing exchange and dual degree programs based on this agreement.

President Jaehyong Je stated, "Currently, international students from more than 50 countries make up 10 percent of the total student body at Sahmyook University, and we aim to attract 2,000 international students by next year. We look forward to multifaceted cooperation, including student exchanges and joint research, based on our excellent infrastructure in health and medical fields such as pharmacy, nursing, and physical therapy, as well as IT fields such as AI convergence majors."
