Dae Won Pharmaceutical announced on June 16 that it has appointed Hye-won Kim, former Executive Director at CMS Lab, as the new CEO of its subsidiary, SD Biotechnologies.
Kim, the newly appointed CEO, is a derma cosmetics expert who has worked for approximately 26 years at leading domestic beauty companies such as Amorepacific, Neopharm, and CMS Lab, gaining experience in planning, marketing, sales, and research work.
SD Biotechnologies plans to use Kim’s appointment as an opportunity to reorganize its brand portfolio, strengthen its product development and domestic and global retail sales capabilities, and thereby accelerate the growth of its cosmetics business sector.

Kim stated, “We will systematize the business structure through a multifaceted assessment of current distribution channels and a product-focused sales and marketing strategy. Leveraging my accumulated network in major original design manufacturing (ODM) and experience in designing new business circulation structures, I will focus on establishing a sustainable growth pipeline for SD Biotechnologies.”
