View original imageAccording to a recent report by Oricon News Japan, Oh secured his debut by finishing in fourth place in the final episode of the Japanese idol audition program 'Produce 101 Japan: The New World'.
He received a total of 481,415 votes and was selected as a member of the 12-member boy group 'KO1KEYZ' along with others including Park Siyoung, who placed third. The group is scheduled to debut simultaneously in Japan and Korea.

The election took place shortly after the revision of the Public Official Election Act lowered the minimum age of eligibility for local elections to 18. At the time, Oh was a sophomore majoring in Fashion Apparel at Mokpo University and campaigned under the slogan, "By Youth, For Youth, A Youth Candidate."
