Sujin 1 District is the first-phase redevelopment target site under the "Seongnam City 2030 Urban and Residential Environment Maintenance Master Plan." The area boasts a "triple station area" location, being adjacent to Sujin Station on Subway Line 8, as well as Moran and Taepyeong Stations on the Bundang Line. In particular, the district is highly valued for its excellent accessibility to Gangnam and Songpa via public transportation, and its proximity to major arterial roads such as the Bundang-Suseo Expressway, making it one of the most important transportation hubs in the original downtown of Seongnam.
According to the newly approved plan, Sujin 1 District will be transformed into a large residential complex with 5,060 units, including 4,844 apartment units in 59 buildings ranging from 7 underground floors to 15 above-ground floors, and 216 officetel units. In addition, the plan includes a significant expansion of essential maintenance infrastructure such as a neighborhood park and off-street parking lots, which have been lacking in the area, greatly improving the quality of life for local residents.
With the management disposition plan now finalized, Sujin 1 District is scheduled to begin full-scale relocation procedures for residents starting in August.
Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH), the project implementer, is currently accepting applications for the Sinchon and Geumto Districts' cyclical relocation housing to help original residents settle smoothly. The first round of applications is being completed successfully, and, considering the demand for relocation, the corporation plans to supply additional cyclical relocation housing in the second half of this year.
