"From Interview to Employment"... Buan County to Hold "Job Seeker-Employer Meeting Day" on June 17
On-site Interviews with Eight Participating Companies
Buan County in North Jeolla Province will hold a "Job Seeker-Employer Meeting Day" event in the form of a job fair at the Buan Arts Center on June 17 to help local companies address workforce shortages and support job seekers in finding employment.
This event is a customized employment support program where job seekers and companies can meet in person for recruitment consultations and interviews. It is co-hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, Jeonbuk Institute for Industry-Academia Convergence, and Buan County, with the Buan County Job Center serving as the main organizer.
Eight companies, including Champre, a food company, will participate in the event and conduct on-site interviews. Additionally, four organizations, including NH Nonghyup Bank, will operate employment consulting booths to support job seekers in their job preparation.
The Buan County Job Center has also prepared a variety of supplementary programs to encourage job seekers to participate without burden, including employment consulting and resume writing support, resume photo shoots, aromatherapy experiences, caricature drawing, and a coffee truck operation.
Recently, local governments have been expanding job fairs and employment support programs to address youth outflow and workforce shortages among companies. In the Jeonbuk region, job matching events focused on on-site interviews are held regularly, playing a role in bridging the gap between job seekers and companies.
Buan County will provide an interview allowance of 50,000 won per person, limited to one occasion, for job seekers who participate in interviews at local companies. The Buan County Job Center also offers ongoing employment services throughout the year, such as job counseling and job placement assistance, in addition to this event.
Choi Yeongon, head of the Buan County Job Center, said, "We hope this event will connect companies with the talent they need and provide new employment opportunities for job seekers."
