He also asked the team to develop a comprehensive vision so that Masan Marine New Town could serve as a driving force for the revival of the old city center.
Kang and the mayoral transition committee visited major business sites in the Masan area, including Masan Marine New Town, to directly check the status of each project and review future directions.
Kang first visited Masan Marine New Town, received a briefing on the project's progress and development plans, and toured the site.
In particular, he personally inspected the site to resolve legal issues and normalize the project, while comprehensively reviewing the possibility of attracting a digital free trade zone and cultural facilities.
Kang urged, "Please draw up a global vision so that Masan Marine New Town can become the driving force behind Masan's new resurgence."
He then visited the Hall of Korean Democracy to look around the facilities and examine current issues and areas for improvement that had been raised.
Kang said, "During my term as a member of the 19th National Assembly, I worked hard to bring the Hall of Democracy to Masan," and requested, "Please make the Hall of Democracy into a living educational space that offers a broad perspective on the various processes of democratization."
At the Lotte Department Store Masan branch, he reviewed plans to utilize the facility as a public space in cooperation with related institutions such as Gyeongsangnam-do and the Office of Education.
In particular, during the site visit, they checked the status and issues of each project and exchanged ideas on practical ways to enhance citizen convenience and promote regional development.
