Major Universities from Seoul and the Province Gather
Personalized Strategies Such as One-on-One Consulting Receive Positive Reviews
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on June 15 that the "2027 College Entrance Information Fair," recently held at the Suncheonman Ecological Culture Education Center, concluded successfully with the attendance of about 10,000 students, parents, and school staff.
This fair was organized to provide accurate guidance on the changing college admissions system and individual university selection processes, as well as to support personalized college pathway planning tailored to each student's career interests and aptitudes. In particular, a large number of major universities from both the Seoul metropolitan area and the province participated, with a focus on strengthening a student-centered college admissions support system.

These programs received a highly positive response from participants.
Students were able to develop admissions strategies aligned with their academic performance and career goals, while parents had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the college admissions landscape. Teachers from local schools also enhanced their guidance capabilities by sharing up-to-date admissions information.
During the fair, a meeting was held between Superintendent Kim Daejung and representatives from partner universities to discuss the revitalization of high school-university linked education, adding further significance to the event.
Attending the meeting were representatives from six out of seven partner universities currently collaborating with the Provincial Office of Education on high school-university linkage projects. They discussed ways to foster local educational development and support student growth. The participants agreed to actively cooperate in expanding curriculum-linked activities, career and admissions programs, and the sharing of university educational resources.
The Provincial Office of Education evaluated this fair as having established itself as a "platform for educational cooperation," facilitating communication among students, parents, schools, and universities beyond merely providing information. The office also stated its intention to proactively respond to the evolving admissions environment and to continuously expand personalized college admissions support for students going forward.
In particular, following the launch of the "Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Metropolitan Office of Education" in July, the office plans to support Jeonnam students' participation in the upcoming "Gwangju College Entrance Information Fair." In the long term, the vision is to create a joint college admissions support model at the level of the integrated Jeonnam-Gwangju office to generate greater synergy.
