Korea PIM Largest Shareholder Acquires Company Shares Worth 1 Billion Won
Korea PIM, a company specializing in Metal Injection Molding (MIM) technology, announced on June 15 that CEO and largest shareholder Song Junho has purchased 1 billion won worth of company shares on the open market. As a result, Song's ownership stake increased from 46.19% to 46.40%.
Korea PIM explained that this additional share acquisition by the largest shareholder demonstrates a commitment to responsible management and to enhancing shareholder value. With notable achievements in high value-added new businesses such as humanoid robots, artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, and defense, the company expressed its confidence in future business expansion to the public.
A company representative stated, "After developing a prototype of an 8mm ultra-compact reducer for the humanoid sector, we are currently in supply discussions with global top-tier companies." The representative added, "Recently, through an American company, we have begun supplying products to Google's AI data centers, signaling that new business initiatives are now gaining traction." The representative continued, "On top of our stable revenue from the automotive industry, we expect additional growth as high value-added business results are reflected from the second half of the year. The largest shareholder decided to acquire additional shares to further strengthen responsible management."
Korea PIM is conducting performance evaluations based on the ultra-compact reducer prototype and has begun the commercialization process, including supplying samples to global companies. The company aims to complete testing within the year and start initial volume shipments from next year. Since up to 30 reducers are required for each humanoid robot, mass production is expected to generate substantial revenue.
