The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare, together with related organizations such as the Korea Creative Content Agency, will hold "K-EXPO FRANCE 2026" in Paris, France from June 16 to June 19, 2026.
Minister Choi Hwi-young of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will visit Paris, where the expo is being held, to inspect the event site and meet with the French Minister of Culture as well as the heads of major cultural and arts institutions to discuss key issues between the two countries.
The K-Expo is a comprehensive event that supports the overseas expansion of companies in the K-culture sector—including content, food, beauty, fashion, and tourism—by offering a K-pop concert, industry exhibitions and hands-on experiences, as well as export consultations for businesses. In particular, on June 17, a K-pop concert will be held as the main event to commemorate the 140th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and France, under the themes of “companionship, romance, and gratitude.”
From June 16 to June 18, the first part of the expo will feature a consumer exhibition at the Palais des Congrès, a major international event venue in Paris. Organizations and companies from diverse fields—including content, tourism, food, publishing, and beauty—will participate to showcase both the present and future of K-culture.
From June 16 to June 18, a “consumer exhibition” will be held at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, with a wide range of organizations and companies participating to present the current state and future of K-culture. Netflix will join 12 other companies and organizations to operate a joint booth featuring popular content such as “K-Pop Demon Hunters,” “Squid Game,” and “Chef in Black and White.” The Korea Tourism Organization will promote Korea’s four seasons by recreating subway and hiking routes, and will collaborate with Korean Air to operate an in-flight seat experience booth.
The event will also include a K-food experience zone in the form of a convenience store where visitors can sample items such as Hangang Ramen and vegan kimchi, as well as a promotional and experience booth for marine products like Kim Snack. There will also be a promotional booth for students of King Sejong Institute who are learning Korean in France, a K-beauty experience booth, a Nongshim brand booth, and a K-book exhibition hall to welcome local visitors.
This expo will also shine a spotlight on Korea’s artificial intelligence (AI) and immersive content technologies. There will be an AI film and animation experience center with the participation of CJ ENM and 11 companies, an augmented reality (AR)-based book content exhibition, and a digital showcase that introduces French luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Korean craft brands through immersive videos, all of which are expected to capture the attention of visitors.
On June 18 and June 19, side events will include a cooking show featuring K-marine food, a talk program on Korean cuisine hosted by actor Ryu Sooyoung—known as an “ambassador of Korean food”—demonstrations of Korean skincare techniques, lectures by Korean authors, and a “K-pop Dance Random Play.” There will also be an export consultation session with a total of 46 companies, including 36 content companies and 10 beauty companies.
At the K-pop concert on June 17, a large number of popular K-pop artists in France—including Taemin, Monsta X, Hearts to Hearts, NCT Wish, Stella Jang, and 82Major—will perform. The event will begin with a ceremony to commemorate the diplomatic anniversary, attended by the culture ministers of both countries. Popular K-pop artists will perform songs beloved by Koreans in France and songs beloved by the French in Korea, celebrating the friendship and cultural exchange between the two countries.

Minister Choi Hwi-young stated, "It is highly meaningful that we are able to introduce the new and diverse appeal of K-culture in France, a country with which Korea has shared a 140-year history of cultural exchange, through a joint ministerial effort. I hope that the 'Lumiere Summit,' the film and video summit jointly hosted by Korea and France this September, will further deepen and expand cooperation between our two countries."
