On June 14 (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump held separate phone calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss the cessation of the war in Ukraine and other key issues.
According to Russia's TASS news agency, President Putin initiated the call to congratulate President Trump on his 80th birthday, and the two leaders exchanged views on the Iran war and the war in Ukraine. During the conversation, President Trump emphasized the need to end the war in Ukraine, stating, "We are ready to cooperate with everyone, including Europe and Ukraine, to resolve the conflict," and added, "An agreement to end the war with Iran is also imminent and may be announced later today." He also expressed his gratitude for the birthday wishes, noting that "President Putin was the first foreign leader to call the White House to offer congratulations."
Subsequently, President Zelensky also spoke with President Trump on the same day. Through his social media channels, President Zelensky stated, "I briefed President Trump on the latest developments on the battlefield, and we agreed to continue discussions at the upcoming Group of Seven (G7) summit."
Dmytro Litvin, an aide to President Zelensky, said at a press conference that "the two leaders had a substantive conversation that lasted 30 to 35 minutes. They covered everything from congratulations on President Trump's 80th birthday to diplomacy, war, and peace."

The Ukrainian military reported that overnight, it struck supply facilities in the Yaroslavl region of northwestern Russia and an explosives factory in the Tula region. According to Ukrainian authorities, these attacks caused disruptions to flights at six Russian airports, and air raid alerts were issued in 28 regions across Russia.
