Its proximity to high-income residential neighborhoods such as Bel Air, Brentwood, and Westwood is expected to attract not only local consumers but also global customers.
Olive Young stated that while the Pasadena store, which opened last year, served as a flagship location introducing the brand to young consumers interested in K-beauty, the Century City store is positioned as a hub to expand K-beauty awareness among premium shoppers and international customers.
The grand opening event was attended by key local figures, including Los Angeles City Councilmember Katy Young Yaroslavsky and Nancy Wood, President of the Century City Chamber of Commerce. Councilmember Yaroslavsky said, "We expect Olive Young's entry will strengthen cultural exchanges and partnerships with Korea," adding, "It will offer a new shopping experience at Westfield Century City."
The store also features experiential spaces designed to meet the needs of U.S. consumers. In particular, reflecting the strong local interest in K-skincare, the skincare display area has been expanded by 1.5 times compared to standard stores in Korea. The store operates "The Boost & Glow Bar," which features serums and essences; "The Prep Bar," which showcases toner pads and sun care products; and dedicated areas for beauty devices. It also offers a "Skin Scan" service that analyzes customers' skin conditions and recommends personalized products.
To celebrate the opening, Olive Young is offering tiered discounts and complimentary tote bags with purchases until the 26th. Additionally, until the 22nd, Olive Young is collaborating with Chamberlain Coffee, a popular coffee brand among Gen Z in the U.S., to provide K-beauty sample vouchers to customers who purchase collaborative beverages.
Looking ahead, Olive Young plans to gradually expand the benefits of its U.S.-exclusive integrated online and offline membership program, "O.Y Members," and to continuously increase the number of brands and products available in both its U.S. online store and brick-and-mortar locations.
