Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency Achieves 'S' Grade for Regional Industry Customized Workforce Training for Two Consecutive Years
The 'Regional Industry Customized Workforce Training Project' operated by the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency has received the highest 'S' grade for two consecutive years in the performance evaluation of the National Human Resources Development Consortium’s Industry Customized Joint Training Center, supervised by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
The National Human Resources Development Consortium’s Industry Customized Joint Training Center is a vocational competency development training project managed by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, aimed at supporting the development of skilled professionals for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Regional Industry Customized Workforce Training Project, run by the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, targets employees of small and medium-sized enterprises and provides demand-driven technical education and support for enhancing job competencies.
This performance evaluation was conducted for 65 joint training centers nationwide.
The evaluation comprehensively reflected quantitative indicators such as achievement rates, completion rates, participation rates, and satisfaction, as well as qualitative indicators such as program management, self-assessment, and business management systems.
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency received the highest 'S' grade, which is awarded only to institutions scoring 90 points or higher, for two consecutive years, thereby demonstrating excellence in educational program management and project execution capabilities.
Over the past three years, the Regional Industry Customized Workforce Training Project has produced a total of 2,363 graduates, contributing to the development of a workforce training foundation for small and medium-sized enterprises in the province.
In particular, last year the project produced 815 graduates, achieving 163% of its annual target, thereby demonstrating outstanding performance in training achievements. This is considered a key factor in attaining the highest 'S' grade.
This year as well, the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency plans to expand its field-oriented professional workforce training by operating job-customized educational programs focusing on key regional industries such as mechanical design, electrical and electronics, information and communications, quality, furniture, and textiles.
