Songpa District to Hold Annual Symphony Orchestra Concert on June 18

Songpa District in Seoul (District Mayor Seo Kangseok) will hold the 30th Annual Songpa District Symphony Orchestra Concert, titled "Waves of Life: From Joy to Tragedy," at the Songpa Culture and Arts Center on June 18 at 7:30 p.m.
This marks the 30th regular concert of the Songpa District Symphony Orchestra, which was founded in 1995. For this performance, a total of 70 musicians, including orchestra members, guest artists, and collaborators, will take the stage. Tara Simoncic, who has served as a guest conductor with the New York City Ballet and the American Ballet Theatre, will conduct, with soprano Bae Woori and tenor Kim Jin-hoon performing as soloists.
The program will open with Rossini's Overture to The Barber of Seville and continue with "Musetta's Waltz" from Puccini's opera La Bohème, Korean songs "Shin Arirang" and "Barley Field," the duet "All I Ask of You" from the musical The Phantom of the Opera, and will conclude with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No.6 Pathétique. Admission is free, and each person can reserve up to four tickets via Naver or receive them at the venue on a first-come, first-served basis.
