Through this transition committee, Mayor-elect Min plans to concretize the city’s administrative vision, establish a framework for implementing campaign pledges, and review key issues to lay the foundation for the 9th administration’s operations.
Kim Dalsu, former Senior Policy Secretary of Gyeonggi Province, has been appointed as the chair of the transition committee. Chairperson Kim previously served as a member of the Goyang City Council and as a three-term member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, where he also led the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee and the Special Budget and Accounts Committee, gaining extensive experience in local governance. Additionally, he served as Senior Policy Secretary during the 8th administration of Gyeonggi Province, overseeing metropolitan administration and cooperative governance policies, and is recognized as a field-oriented expert with deep knowledge of policy and budgeting.
The transition committee will be led by Chairperson Kim Dalsu and Vice Chairperson Lee Sungwoo, an invited professor in the Department of Business Administration at Korea Aerospace University. The committee is organized into four divisions and two special divisions, with a total of 13 members, including aides to National Assembly members, local legislators, professors, experts in architecture and appraisal, and figures in resident autonomy, representing a wide range of expertise to review all aspects of city administration.
The committee members include Bae Jaehyun and Kim Seonghoe, aides to National Assembly members; Moon Hyesook, Secretary-General of Nonghyup University; Park Jinhwan, Senior Secretary to National Assembly member Han Junho; Jeong Jihae, Secretary to National Assembly member Han Junho; Jo Hyunsook, Vice Chair of the Policy Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea; Kim Yudong, former director of the Korea Association of Property Appraisers; Kang Taeyoung and Kim Younghwan, aides to National Assembly members; Kim Minhee, CEO of Archidia Architects; Kim Sangwoo, professor at Korea Aerospace University; Ha Seongyong, professor at Joongbu University; Choi Kyungae, Ph.D. in Sociology from Sungkyunkwan University; Jeong Mingyeong, Goyang City Council member; and Lim Hyeoncheol, advisor to Deogyang-gu Residents' Autonomy Association.
