Lotte Himart announced on the 12th that it has nominated Vice President Kim Jongyun as its new CEO.
Kim has accumulated experience in business strategy, marketing, and new business development through his career at Google, McKinsey & Company, and Yanolja, among others. At Yanolja, he served as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Chief Business Officer (CBO), and CEO of Yanolja Cloud, where he led global investment attraction, expansion of the business portfolio, and overseas market entry. He also contributed to the establishment of AI and data-driven operating systems, as well as the development of a cloud SaaS business model.
Kim is regarded as an execution-oriented leader who has driven business innovation based on his data-driven decision-making capabilities and global business operation experience.
Lotte Himart continues its efforts to improve its business structure and strengthen competitiveness in response to changes in the home appliance market environment. Leveraging his extensive experience in strategic planning and business operations across various industries, Kim plans to pursue customer-centric business model innovation and create a foundation for sustainable growth by identifying new growth engines.
Nam Changhee, who has led Lotte Himart since December 2022, is reported to have expressed his intention to resign for personal reasons.
