NPS Launches Recruitment for CIO to Manage 1,800 Trillion Won Pension Fund
Open Recruitment Until June 25
The National Pension Service (NPS) is publicly recruiting an investment chief to manage its fund, which is valued at approximately 1,800 trillion won.
On June 11, the NPS announced that it held a Fund Director Recommendation Committee meeting the previous day and decided to publicly recruit candidates for the position of Fund Director from today until June 25. The Fund Director serves as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) overseeing the NPS Fund Management Division.
Applicants must submit the required documents, including an application form, a self-introduction letter, and a work plan, to the NPS Fund Director Recommendation Committee by June 25. Submissions can be made in person, by email, or by registered mail.
Eligible candidates must have experience as a department head or higher at a bank, asset management company, investment advisory firm, insurance company, pension fund management institution, or foreign asset management institution, and have at least three years of experience in asset management or investment. However, those who fall under disqualification criteria for executives of public institutions are not eligible to apply.

Candidates will go through an initial document review and a second interview and recommendation committee process, after which the NPS Chairman will make the final appointment.
