View original imageAccording to government officials, Prime Minister Kim will preside over a meeting of relevant ministers at 8:30 p.m. on the same day at the Government Complex Sejong, focusing on issues related to violations of citizens’ suffrage. The meeting will review the government’s response to the infringement of voting rights caused by a shortage of ballots during the local elections held on June 3. In addition, the government will comprehensively examine incidents of physical clashes during demonstrations near Olympic Park in Jamsil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, disputes over protestors restricting citizens’ access, and political declarations made by university communities.

The meeting is expected to be attended by officials from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, the National Police Agency, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as the Chief of the Presidential Office for National Affairs.
