The 12th Asia Business Daily Honam Cup Junior Golf Championship, known as a gateway for promising domestic golf talent, was held on June 11 at Leonnette Country Club in Gokseong, Jeollanam-do.
Hosted by The Asia Business Daily Honam Bureau and organized by the Gwangju Metropolitan City Golf Association, the tournament brought together junior golfers from across the country for two days of intense competition.

View original imageOn the first day of the tournament in the men's division, Park Jongmin (third year, Hampyeong High School) took the sole lead with a score of 2-under-par 70.
Next, Lee Junki (first year, Suseong Distance Learning High School) was second with 1-under-par 71, while Song Jiseop (second year, Daejeon Distance Learning High School), Yoo Minhyeok (third year, Sogang High School), Hwang Geon (first year, Mangyeong High School), and Park Sihyeon (first year, Gaegum High School) were tied for third place with even-par 72. Lee Hyukjun (third year, Sungil Middle School) and Baek Jinwoo (first year, Jeonju Distance Learning High School) both finished with 1-over-par 73, sharing fourth place.
In the women's division, Song Yujin (third year, Gwangtan Middle School) took the sole lead with a 1-under-par 71.

Lee Dakyung (first year, Hamyeol Girls' High School), Kim Yewon (third year, Sogang High School), Oh Sebyeok (first year, Mangyeong Girls' High School), and Jeong Chaeun (first year, Anseong High School) all tied for fourth place with 2-over-par 74.
Notably, among the three elementary school athletes specially invited to this tournament, Kang Eun-chan (sixth year, Sumun Elementary School) made a strong impression by finishing tied for 10th in the men's division with 3-over-par.
Additionally, in the women's division, both An Hayoun and Lee Yuna (first year, Dongyeong Middle School) recorded eagles, drawing attention.
