Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province held its first-ever Work Sharing Workshop for the newly elected members of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly and Anseong City Council, marking the beginning of a new collaborative framework with the incoming legislative bodies.

View original imageOn June 10, Anseong City announced that it had hosted a 'Work Sharing Workshop' at the TS Talent Development Center for the elected members of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly and Anseong City Council, who are scheduled to take office on July 1. During the event, the city shared its administrative direction and key current issues.
The workshop was organized to help the new provincial and city council members gain an early understanding of Anseong City's policy vision and core issues, thereby enhancing their overall grasp of municipal administration. Notably, this was the first event in the city’s history aimed at establishing a smooth communication system and strengthening the foundation for cooperation between Anseong City Hall and the Anseong City Council, adding further significance to the occasion.
The event was attended by a total of 28 people, including Nam Sang-Eun, Deputy Mayor of Anseong City, as well as city officials such as directors and department heads, elected members of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly and Anseong City Council representing the Anseong region, and staff from the council secretariat.
The workshop began with explanations of the main issues and upcoming priority projects for each major department of the city. Participants listened to briefings on key policies and regional challenges in various fields, then exchanged diverse opinions through a Q&A session and discussed strategies for local development.
In particular, the city focused on sharing major issues transparently and strengthening close cooperation with the assembly throughout the policy implementation process to realize citizen-centered governance. The participants agreed on the importance of mutual cooperation and communication in future municipal operations and committed to establishing a foundation for collaborative governance.
Nam Sang-Eun, Deputy Mayor of Anseong City, stated, "This workshop was a very meaningful occasion where we openly shared the major issues that will shape Anseong's future and explored alternative policy directions together. Moving forward, we will continue seamless communication with both the city and provincial assemblies, and actively cooperate as partners to deliver citizen-centered, on-the-ground policies."

Anseong City plans to further strengthen its cooperative framework with the newly formed assembly by using this workshop as a starting point, and will continue to expand communication and collaborative governance to achieve policy outcomes that citizens can truly experience.
