Han Donghoon Criticizes Jang Donghyuk: "Riding Fraudulent Election Claims for Survival... Should Know When to Step Down"
"If Jang Were Not in Place, We Could Focus More on the Election Commission Issue"
Criticism: "Jang Donghyuk Is an Obstacle to Rebuilding Conservatism"
Hadonghoon, an Independent Member of the National Assembly and former leader of the People Power Party, directly criticized Jang Donghyuk, the current leader of the People Power Party, on June 11, stating, "He is riding on the wave of fraudulent election campaigns for his own political survival," and added, "He should know when it is time to step down."
Speaking with reporters ahead of the National Assembly plenary session that day, Assemblyman Han said, "I empathize with the voices of citizens who are calling for a re-election," but also stressed, "However, it is not right for political forces to ride that wave, combine it with conspiracy theories, and use it as a means of self-preservation. That is not fair to the citizens."

When asked about the public call for Jang’s resignation during the Supreme Council meeting that day, Han said, "Many citizens of the Republic of Korea think that way, and a major trend is moving in that direction," adding, "Attempts to reverse such a major trend have never been successful."
Addressing the leadership’s responsibility after the election, Han remarked, "During the last general election, polls indicated that I was not largely to blame, but I stepped down without hesitation," and criticized, "Conservative politics has always been that way until now, but Leader Jang is breaking that tradition. This is making conservative politics look more ridiculous."
In response to new floor leader Jeong Jeom-sik’s statement the previous day that he would 'carefully consider' Han’s reinstatement into the party, Han said, "When I talk about rebuilding conservatism, I am looking to the future," and added, "It’s not about figuring out who was at fault in the past; I want to work with anyone who agrees that we should rebuild conservatism and restore balance to the Republic of Korea."
Assemblyman Han continued his sharp criticism regarding the controversy over the Lee Jaemyung administration’s push for a special prosecutor to dismiss the indictment. He stated, "If martial law is grounds for impeachment, then dismissing an indictment is also grounds for impeachment," warning, "The Democratic Party seems to be relying on its number of seats, but they must clearly understand that their power is not permanent."
