Retirement Pension Enrollment Now Available via Mobile... BNK Busan Bank Launches First Non-Face-to-Face Service in Financial Sector
As corporate demand for digital financial solutions increases, BNK Busan Bank has launched the first mobile-based retirement pension enrollment service in the Korean financial sector.
On June 11, BNK Busan Bank (President Kim Sungjoo) announced that it has established and begun operating a non-face-to-face service that allows users to enroll in DB (Defined Benefit) and DC (Defined Contribution) retirement pensions through mobile devices.
Previously, companies wishing to enroll in a retirement pension plan had to visit a branch, submit the required documents, and complete the necessary procedures in person. With the introduction of this new service, the entire process—from application and agreement to terms, to registering investment products—can now be handled entirely on mobile devices.
Busan Bank has not limited its offering to simple non-face-to-face submissions. The bank also introduced a method in which employees can monitor the enrollment process in real time and provide remote consultations and support. This approach combines the convenience of non-face-to-face services with the advantages of in-person counseling.
The bank has also enhanced the security of corporate financial transactions. By applying a delegation and assignment system that allows only the representatives designated by the company’s CEO to proceed with enrollment, Busan Bank has strengthened its internal control functions.
Within the banking sector, the retirement pension market is rapidly growing, and there is a noticeable trend toward simplifying enrollment procedures and competing in digital transformation. Busan Bank expects that this new service will not only improve convenience for corporate clients but also reduce the paperwork burden on branch staff.
In addition, the bank is considering offering fee discounts to companies that newly enroll in retirement pension plans through mobile channels.
