Two-Term Daegu Lawmaker Kim Seungsoo Selected
Kim Seungsoo, a two-term lawmaker from the People Power Party, has been nominated as the new Senior Deputy Floor Leader for parliamentary affairs.
On June 11, People Power Party Floor Leader Jeong Jeom-sik announced his plan to appoint Assemblyman Kim as Senior Deputy Floor Leader for parliamentary affairs.
Floor Leader Jeong explained the reasoning behind the appointment, saying, "Assemblyman Kim has accumulated extensive administrative experience over more than 30 years in both central government and local government, and he is recognized for his reasonable communication skills."

View original imageAssemblyman Kim, who represents the Daegu Bukgu-eul district and is now serving his second term, graduated from the Department of Public Administration at Yeungnam University. He entered public service by passing the 32nd Higher Civil Service Examination. He has held several positions, including Director of Creative Government Planning at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Director General for Planning and Coordination at Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Government, and Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs of Daegu Metropolitan City.
He entered the National Assembly in the 21st general election and secured a second term in the 22nd general election.
In the National Assembly, he has served on the Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee, and has held roles such as secretary of the committee, member of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, and member of the Special Committee on Media and Press System Reform.
Within the party, he has previously served as Deputy Floor Leader and Vice Chair of the Policy Coordination Committee.
