BTS Reflects on North America Tour: "Rain-Soaked Performance Stands Out, We Enjoy the Stage More Than Before"
The group BTS marked their 13th anniversary by uploading a video to their official YouTube channel, where they shared behind-the-scenes stories from their world tour and their thoughts on working on their new album.
In the video released on June 11, BTS gathered during their California tour in the United States to catch up with each other. The members recalled the first tour concert in Goyang, which drew an audience of about 130,000 people, saying, "Even though we were drenched on stage in the pouring rain, we couldn't help but smile." They added, "In the past, we didn't know how to spend our time after performances, but now we fill our days by having dinner together."
They also shared their impressions of the overseas tour. The members said, "No matter which country we visit, our hearts are touched when fans sing along to the folk song 'Arirang,'" and added, "The audience now enjoys the performances much more skillfully than before." They also recounted an episode where a massive crowd gathered during their visit to the National Palace in Mexico City.
They explained the process behind working on "Swim," the title track of their fifth studio album "Arirang." The members said, "'Swim' is a song filled with romance and carries the meaning of trying to protect something," adding, "We conveyed a universal message in the way BTS is known for."
BTS also reflected on how the team has changed after 13 years. They said, "Four years ago, we worked without hesitation, but now our thoughts about work have deepened," adding, "As each member has grown, the overall atmosphere of the team has become more relaxed, and it feels like we've truly become adults."
