Bonjak Selected for '2026 L'Oréal Big Bang' in Collaboration with Ministry of SMEs and L'Oréal
Validating AI Fragrance Curation Technology
Bonjak announced on June 10 that it has been selected for the '2026 L'Oréal Big Bang' program.
This initiative is part of 'Around X,' a global corporate collaboration program co-operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development. L'Oréal Big Bang is L'Oréal Group's North Asia open innovation program, designed to discover startups with innovative technologies applicable to the beauty industry.
This year, L'Oréal Big Bang focused on research innovation and digital sectors, with key challenges including generative AI, brand search optimization, influencer analysis, hyper-personalized consumer analysis, and the design of customized beauty experiences. Selected companies are given opportunities to collaborate with L'Oréal's research innovation and digital teams, and receive up to 200 million won in business operation support from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

View original imageBonjak explained that it was chosen for the program in recognition of the scalability of its beauty tech, which combines consumer fragrance experience data accumulated through its brand 'Selvatico' with AI-based curation technology. Bonjak is expanding its business from perfume product development to the area of data-driven personalized experience design.
Through this selection, Bonjak will work with L'Oréal Korea to validate the potential for global beauty industry application of its AI fragrance curation technology. The company plans to further develop its personalized fragrance recommendation environment, enabling consumers to intuitively select scents that suit them best.
