Daewoong Pharmaceutical and DNC Esthetics Hold 'DEEP Symposium'
Daewoong Pharmaceutical and DNC Esthetics hosted the 'DEEP Symposium,' an academic training program for medical professionals, where they unveiled the standard procedure protocol for Declasy CaHA, 'CAST-Code™,' as well as a combination treatment strategy involving Nabota and Declasy CaHA.
On June 11, Daewoong Pharmaceutical and DNC Esthetics announced that they held the first 'DEEP Symposium' of 2026 on May 19 at Sofitel Ambassador Seoul in Songpa-gu, Seoul. DEEP stands for 'Daewoong·DNC Aesthetics Medical-AEsthetic Expert Program.' The two companies operate this professional education program to provide medical professionals with the latest academic content and clinical insights in the field of medical aesthetics.

Through the symposium, Daewoong Pharmaceutical and DNC Esthetics shared the academic value and clinical application strategies of the botulinum toxin 'Nabota' and the calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA)-based collagen booster 'Declasy CaHA.'
Declasy CaHA is a collagen booster based on calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA), which has a mineral structure similar to that of human bones and teeth and is designed to stimulate collagen production. Developed with the goal of creating a natural tissue regeneration environment through its uniform particle structure and high biocompatibility, Declasy CaHA goes beyond simple volume enhancement to simultaneously improve skin elasticity and texture. Notably, in the global market, it is supplied to over 30 countries under the 'Facetem' brand and has established its competitiveness as the second-largest brand by market share in the global CaHA filler market.
The symposium featured three presentations: ▲ Dr. Carmelo Crisafulli discussed global CaHA treatment trends and clinical case studies; ▲ Dr. Hong Kiwoong, Academic Director of the Korean Society of Minimal Invasive Plastic Surgery (Samskin Plastic Surgery), introduced the 'CAST-Code™' procedure protocol based on Declasy CaHA; and ▲ Dr. Guk Jisoo, Senior Academic Director of the Korean Society of Aesthetic Plastic Laser Medicine (It’s Me Clinic Ansan), shared clinical insights into the combination treatment strategy 'Collagen Velvet' using Nabota and Declasy CaHA. The event provided a wide range of academic content, from global treatment trends and standardized procedural approaches to real-world clinical cases.
In particular, the symposium introduced 'CAST-Code™,' a standard procedure protocol for Declasy CaHA developed by DNC Esthetics. CAST-Code™ is a protocol that systematically connects the product’s properties, anatomical understanding, and area-specific treatment objectives, offering a more predictable and consistent procedural approach. It was developed based on actual clinical experience.
CAST-Code™ stands for 'CaHA-based, Anatomy-driven, Structural, Transformation,' signifying a CaHA-based, anatomy-oriented, structural improvement and natural transformation protocol. It provides a more systematic CaHA procedure guideline that takes into account the objectives and anatomical characteristics of each treatment area.
Dr. Hong Kiwoong stated, "Successful CaHA procedures require an understanding not only of the product’s characteristics but also of the anatomical structure and treatment objectives. CAST-Code™ is a protocol designed to support more predictable and systematic procedural approaches, based on the properties of Declasy CaHA and real clinical experience."
Collagen Velvet is a combination treatment strategy that merges the collagen-stimulating effects of CaHA with the wrinkle reduction and lifting effects of botulinum toxin. It is designed to allow for a customized approach tailored to the patient’s skin condition and treatment goals and reflects the growing trend in the medical aesthetics market toward skin quality improvement-centered therapies. Dr. Guk Jisoo emphasized, "Medical aesthetic procedures are now evolving beyond simple wrinkle reduction to also address skin quality improvement and natural changes. Collagen Velvet is a strategy that combines the strengths of Nabota and Declasy CaHA, expanding the possibilities for personalized patient care."
This DEEP Symposium served as an academic platform for sharing global treatment trends, standardized procedure protocols, and real clinical experiences, going beyond mere product introductions. Daewoong Pharmaceutical and DNC Esthetics plan to regularly host the DEEP program to expand academic training for medical professionals and continuously provide clinical content based on their medical aesthetics portfolio, including Nabota and Declasy CaHA.
Yoo Hyunseung, CEO of DNC Esthetics, stated, "The medical aesthetics market is rapidly evolving from a focus on simple volume enhancement to an emphasis on collagen regeneration and skin quality improvement. Based on the clinical experience and technological capabilities of Facetem, the world’s second-largest CaHA filler brand by market share, DNC Esthetics will continue to accumulate standardized procedural protocols and clinical data for Declasy CaHA, providing trusted regenerative aesthetic solutions for both medical professionals and patients."
