"Money Tree Sister" Cathie Wood Visits NH Investment & Securities... Teams Up for Financial Product Development
Cathie Wood, CEO of ARK Investment, who is affectionately known in the Korean capital market as "Money Tree Sister," has partnered with NH Investment & Securities to build an overseas innovative asset investment roadmap for Korean investors.
According to the financial investment industry on June 10, CEO Wood, who visited Korea, met with key executives including Kang Minhoon, Head of the Digital Business Division, and Lim Gyehyeon, Head of Corporate Sales Division, at the NH Investment & Securities headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on the afternoon of this day.
This marks CEO Wood’s first visit to the NH Investment & Securities headquarters, and her first visit to Korea in approximately four years since 2022. Previously, she had expanded her engagement by participating as a keynote speaker in an online seminar organized by NH Investment & Securities last month, delivering a lecture on future industries and artificial intelligence (AI).
Both companies agreed to combine NH Investment & Securities’ top-tier domestic mobile platform infrastructure with ARK Investment’s global new industry discovery capabilities, starting with this meeting. Through this, they plan to significantly strengthen their lineup of exclusive products and investment content focused on overseas innovative companies.
The main targets for collaboration include advanced industries expected to drive future growth, such as AI, aerospace, robotics, and bio-healthcare. In particular, they discussed in depth how to design assets of leading U.S. unlisted tech companies—such as SpaceX, in which ARK Investment is a major shareholder—into specialized financial products suitable for the Korean market. The aim is to lower the barriers for individual investors to access global alternative assets, which have traditionally been difficult to approach.
Along with product launches, a high-quality investment information sharing system will also be established. The global research capabilities and investment analysis expertise of ARK Investment will be integrated into NH Investment & Securities’ digital channels, including its home trading system (HTS) and mobile app (MTS), to provide customers with exclusive overseas investment insights.
