The event features 100 awards, 100 exhibitions, and 100 sessions, making it a large-scale gathering.
At the opening ceremony and awards presentation held on June 9, not only were Gyeongbuk TP's achievements recognized, but it also drew attention as companies participating in the 'Cell-Cultured Food Regulatory Free Zone'—jointly fostered by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Uiseong County, and Gyeongbuk TP—received a series of awards.
At this event, three promising companies participating in the Gyeongbuk Cell-Cultured Food Regulatory Free Zone were listed among the awardees, demonstrating the competitiveness of the Gyeongbuk Free Zone ecosystem.
Seaweed (double winner) was recognized for its innovative cell-culturing technology, winning both the 'Young Prize' and the 'Special Prize (President’s Award from the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry)'.
MicroDigital and LatBio were both awarded the 'Best Prize' in recognition of their tangible achievements in next-generation bio and food tech sectors.
Hainseong, Director of Gyeongbuk TP, commented, "This award shows that the Gyeongbuk Regulatory Free Zone ecosystem is not just about attracting companies, but is also driving the growth of promising businesses and leading to tangible global achievements. Moving forward, we will continue to provide diverse infrastructure and commercialization support so that companies within the Gyeongbuk Food Tech Innovation Cluster can thrive on the global stage."
During the event, Gyeongbuk TP is operating the 'Gyeongbuk Pavilion' as a side event, actively promoting the excellence of the region’s food tech innovation cluster to domestic and international industries.
In particular, on June 11, a separate session for the 'Gyeongbuk Food Tech Research Support Center' will be held at Public 3 in KINTEX Exhibition Center 2.
