Shin Yujin has secured her first victory on the Dream (second division) Tour of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA).
On June 9 at the Phoenix Country Club in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon Province (par 71, 6,378 yards), Shin won the 9th round of the Phoenix Country Club Dream Tour (total prize money: 70 million won). Due to thick fog, the second round was canceled, and the winner was determined based on the first-round results. Shin Yujin shot a 10-under-par 61 in the first round, finishing five strokes ahead to claim the title. With this victory, she received a winner’s prize of 10.5 million won, moving up to 17th place in the money rankings with a total of 12,733,643 won.

She continued to compete on the first division tour until last year but did not achieve notable results, and since this year, she has been playing on the Dream Tour.
In an interview right after her victory, Shin said, “I’m really happy to have won. It still doesn’t feel real,” adding with a big smile, “The first thing that came to mind was that I don’t have to go to the Dream Tour seed ranking event next week.” She continued, “Since I achieved my first win faster than expected, I intend to be a bit more ambitious. I want to challenge myself to become the top earner on the Dream Tour.”
