On June 9, IBK Investment & Securities announced that its Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee held a meeting and officially recommended Executive Vice President Choi as the next CEO. The appointment is expected to be finalized at the shareholders' meeting scheduled for June 30.
Executive Vice President Choi has contributed to the growth of IBK Financial Group by serving as Head of Investment Banking at IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, Head of the Western Regional Headquarters, and Head of the CIB Group. During his tenure as Chief Operating Officer at IBK Investment & Securities, he actively promoted synergistic projects between the bank and the securities company within the group, and is credited with leading the development of strategies to expand the company's role as a specialized securities firm for small and medium-sized enterprises.
