'Sing Again 4' Singer Kim Yunseol Passes Away at 27
Singer Kim Yunseol, who gained recognition after appearing on the JTBC music competition program "Sing Again 4," has passed away. She was 27 years old.
Kim Jaeguk, the vocalist of the band Takapi, posted on his social media account on June 8, "Kim Yunseol, who appeared with me as Singer No. 6 on 'Sing Again 4,' has gone to heaven," adding, "My deepest condolences to the deceased." The cause of her death has not been disclosed.
The funeral procession was held on the morning of June 9 at the funeral hall where her memorial altar was set up, and her final resting place is Yeongsaengwon in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. Fellow artists continue to pay tribute to her following the unexpected news of her passing.
Born in 1998, Kim made her debut in 2013 with the single "Man and Woman" and went on to release songs such as "Finally Good-Bye." She won the Mnet children's audition program "Voice Kids" in 2013. Later, she appeared on "Voice Korea 2020" and "I Can See Your Voice 7" in 2020. Notably, in October last year, she appeared as Singer No. 6 on "Sing Again 4," advanced past the first round, and was warmly welcomed by viewers.

On May 23, Kim posted on her social media, "I'm singing again under my own name now. I hope my songs can bring a little happiness wherever they are heard."
