At the exhibition, HS Hyosung Advanced Materials is presenting applications of its proprietary high-performance materials, such as carbon fiber, aramid, and Lyocell, for the defense sector. The company is also working to identify new business opportunities in the global defense market and expand its customer network.
In particular, this exhibition features the participation of all key business units (Performance Units, or PU), including the Carbon Materials PU, Tire Reinforcement Materials PU, and Aramid PU, with the goal of actively seeking new business opportunities in the defense sector.
The Carbon Materials PU is exhibiting lightweight yet strong carbon composite materials such as carbon composite parts for drones, single fibers, and 3K carbon fiber fabrics, as well as propellant storage tanks for drones and satellites, which are core parts in the space and aerospace sectors, demonstrating the future potential of these materials. The Aramid PU is introducing high-performance personal protection equipment, such as bulletproof helmets and bulletproof vests for military personnel, made with advanced aramid yarns noted for their high strength and heat resistance. In addition, the Tire Reinforcement Materials PU is presenting eco-friendly, high-strength Lyocell yarn and Lyocell carbonized fabrics, which have broadened the range of applications for defense composite materials.
