At a performance organized by North Korea for Chinese President Xi Jinping, who visited the country for the first time in seven years, songs such as "I Love You, China" were performed to emphasize the friendship between North Korea and China.
According to China Central Television (CCTV) on June 9, President Xi and his wife, Peng Liyuan, attended a cultural performance at Pyongyang Gymnasium the previous night alongside North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and his wife.
When the leaders and their spouses appeared at the venue around 9 p.m., the audience, filling the gymnasium, all stood up, waving the North Korean national flag and the Chinese Five-Star Red Flag, and greeted them with applause and cheers.

The lyrics of this song include lines such as "I want to dedicate the most beautiful song to you, my mother, my motherland," and "I want to dedicate my beautiful youth to you, my mother, my motherland," mainly emphasizing patriotism toward China.
In addition, the singers performed songs such as "Beloved My China," "Singing the Motherland," "Me and My Motherland," "Jasmine Flower," and "Happiness Does Not Fall From the Sky." The performance concluded with the song "The DPRK-China Friendship Will Last Forever," which also underscores the friendship between the two countries.
Xinhua News Agency commented, "Familiar Chinese songs resonated throughout Pyongyang," and noted, "The songs deeply resonated with the entire audience." CCTV also reported, "The performers welcomed President Xi's return visit after seven years through songs, dance, and acrobatics," and expressed "genuine feelings hoping to further strengthen and develop the friendly cooperation between North Korea and China."
