The Information Contest was designed with practical and work-related programs connected to the future digital environment, including PowerPoint (ITQ), robot coding, video production, software coding, and smart search.
The e-Sports Competition, which drew significant interest from students, was centered around team-based events that foster a spirit of challenge and cooperation, including Nintendo Switch Sports Volleyball, Modoo Marble, FC Online, Teamfight Tactics, and Fall Guys. Notably, this year, demonstration events such as 'AI Information Utilization Skills,' 'Basic Digital Literacy,' and 'Nintendo Switch Just Dance' were newly added, enriching the competition even further.
The Office of Education established a customized safety plan, taking into account the characteristics of each student's disability, movement routes, and the venue's layout from multiple perspectives. On-site safety management was significantly strengthened, ensuring that students could participate comfortably and safely. The students who achieve the best results in each category of this preliminary round will represent Jeonnam at the national competition scheduled for September, where they will once again showcase their abilities.
A student from Hampyeong Film School who participated in the competition said, "Playing games and joining various programs with my friends gave me confidence," adding, "I definitely want to participate in the national competition as well."
Park Cheolwan, Director of Secondary Education, stated, "The e-Festival for students with disabilities is a meaningful event where students can discover their potential and nurture their dreams through digital technology," and continued, "Moving forward, we will further strengthen the educational support system for students with disabilities in line with the Jeonnam-Gwangju integration, and actively work to expand opportunities for digital education and career and vocational education so that future competencies can be systematically developed."
