"Supporting Market Expansion and Sales Growth"
Coupang is taking the lead in expanding online sales channels and supporting digital transformation for local small business owners.
On June 9, Coupang announced that it has begun accepting applications for the "2026 Coupang Digital Jump-Up Academy." This program is designed to help local small business owners who lack digital capabilities to enter the online market and expand their sales.
The training is targeted at small business owners located in the Yeongnam region (Busan, Ulsan, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam) and the Honam region (Gwangju, Jeonbuk, Jeonnam). A total of 100 companies (50 from each region) will be selected. Applicants must have operated their business for at least one year after business registration and either have experience in online sales or plan to enter the online market.
The program will run for about four months and is composed of practical training sessions, including: AI and big data-based product planning, online sales strategies, brand marketing, and strategies for increasing sales. Special lectures and mentoring sessions will also be provided by Coupang's current Brand Managers (BM).
The training will be conducted remotely via video conferencing to lower participation barriers for local small business owners, while the opening ceremony and product evaluation event will be held offline. Through the product evaluation event, participants can assess the competitiveness and marketability of their products, and outstanding participants will be given the opportunity to participate in Coupang's special promotional exhibitions.
Applications can be submitted until June 19 through the website of the program operator, "Sapiens 4.0."
