Lisene’s viral rise sparks renewed popularity
Recently, The Muse Entertainment (The Muse Enter), the agency of the girl group Lisene, which has been creating a sensation online through various memes, has successfully secured new funding from venture capital (VC) firms.
According to the VC industry on June 8, The Muse Enter recently carried out a Series A funding round, raising approximately 2 billion won. In addition to existing investors, new investors such as KNET Investment Partners and JB Investment participated in this round.
Previously, The Muse Enter had raised funds in a pre-Series A round in May 2023. Last year, the company initiated a fundraising campaign to coincide with Lisene’s comeback schedule.
The Muse Enter is an entertainment agency founded in December 2020 by CEO Lee Juheon, a former member of the vocal group Highbrow. Its flagship and only group is Lisene.
Lisene is a five-member multinational girl group that debuted in March 2024 and recently gained viral popularity online as their music climbed back up the charts. In particular, member Wonyi’s channel, "Hello this is Wonyi nice to meet you," went viral among netizens, leading to increased interest in the group and its album and fueling their resurgence in popularity.

Additionally, a scene where Japanese member Minami, while conversing with Wonyi, said "Geoje Ya~ho," became a meme and further boosted their popularity. Lisene's first mini album, released in August 2024, featured the title track "Love Attack," which entered the top 10 of popular domestic music platform charts.
