T-Robotics Files Patent Applications for Glass Substrate Transfer Robots Overseas
Robotics specialist T-Robotics is actively expanding its patent portfolio by filing patent applications for glass substrate transfer robots in major overseas markets.
On June 9, T-Robotics announced that it has filed patent applications for glass substrate transfer robots in major countries including the United States, Taiwan, and China.
T-Robotics specializes in the development and production of semiconductor wafer transfer robots and glass vacuum transfer robots for organic light-emitting diode (OLED) manufacturing. The company supplies equipment to leading semiconductor and display manufacturers both domestically and internationally, including Samsung Display, LG Display, and BOE.
Building on this expertise, T-Robotics recently completed the development of a glass substrate transfer robot, a technology that is gaining attention as a core innovation for the next-generation semiconductor industry. This technology was registered as a patent in Korea last year and has recently also been registered in Japan.
Glass substrates require highly precise control and stable handling technology during the manufacturing process. With the expansion of the artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor, high bandwidth memory (HBM), and advanced packaging markets, the prospects for using glass substrates in next-generation semiconductors are increasing, drawing significant interest to related technologies.
T-Robotics plans to expand its global patent portfolio, focusing on key semiconductor production bases such as the United States, Taiwan, and China.
