For this session, a total of 65 participants from 52 partner companies nationwide attended the training, uniting in their commitment to achieving zero accidents at worksites and to mutual cooperation.
The training program consisted of practical modules focused on seasonal and site-specific risk factors that have been occurring frequently at industrial sites recently. Specifically, the program included: ▲ prevention and response to heat-related illnesses during summer ▲ hands-on CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) practice led by a professional instructor from the Busan Jungbu Fire Station ▲ sharing of major cases of industrial accidents and precedents under the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
In the training session on coping with extreme heat, participants were introduced to the causes of heat-related illnesses, emergency response procedures, and prevention guidelines. The CPR practice was designed to improve immediate response capabilities in actual emergency situations. In the latter part of the training, concrete cases such as fires were discussed to deepen on-site understanding and to reinforce awareness of safety and responsibility.
Korean Marine Transport and KLCSM plan to continuously provide relevant information and consulting services to their small and medium-sized partner companies, as they often face difficulties in safety and health management due to organizational limitations and lack of budget, in order to further enhance the completeness of their prevention systems.
