Gachon University to Dispatch 261 Students to 71 Universities in 20 Countries
Gachon University will dispatch 261 students to 71 universities in 20 countries from this summer vacation through the second half of the year to nurture talents with global competencies.
During the summer vacation, Gachon University will send 72 students to the Hawaii Gachon Elite Course, which is operated at the Hawaii Gachon Global Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. From the last week of June, the students will be dispatched to Hawaii in two batches, where they will take classes at the University of Hawaii and the Hawaii Gachon Global Center, participate in language improvement programs, and engage in cultural experience activities.
Additionally, 60 students will be sent to short-term overseas study programs operated at universities including Ritsumeikan University in Japan, Peking University in China, Ming Chuan University in Taiwan, University of California Irvine in the United States, University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, University of Malta, and Griffith University in Australia.

View original imageIn the second half of the year, 89 students will be dispatched to overseas universities through exchange and visiting student programs. The host universities include institutions ranked within the top 250 in the QS World University Rankings, such as University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in the United States, Deakin University in Australia, and Sapienza University of Rome in Italy.
Forty students will also be selected and sent to participate in the Hawaii Gachon Premium Course, which is operated by the Hawaii Gachon Global Center.
To support students' overseas studies, Gachon University provides scholarships of up to 6 million won per program and recognizes credits earned at host universities as credits at Gachon University. Students were selected through a comprehensive document review that evaluates academic performance, official language test scores, participation in internationalization programs, as well as in-depth personality and English interviews.
