Pyeongtaek Port Authority Graduates 40 from Maritime Logistics Academy
The Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority held the completion ceremony for the "2026 First Gyeonggi-do Maritime Logistics Academy" on June 5 at the Pyeongtaek Port Marine Center.
The Maritime Logistics Youth Employment Academy is an employment-linked education program that has consistently achieved a high employment rate of over 70% for the past three consecutive years, contributing to alleviating youth unemployment in Gyeonggi-do.

Participants received hands-on, practical theory education, including document preparation such as shipping invoices and on-site training from industry professionals. In addition, they visited Pyeongtaek Port—the only international trade port in Gyeonggi-do—to experience the logistics site firsthand. They also learned job-seeking know-how from industry experts and previous academy graduates.
Kim Geumgyu, Acting President of the Pyeongtaek Port Authority, stated, "The employment rate among graduates of the 2025 academy reached 80%. I am pleased that the academy can serve as a stepping stone for young people in Gyeonggi-do to find jobs during a difficult job market caused by high oil prices and the economic downturn."
