Hana Financial Group Expands Renovation and Vehicle Support for Welfare Facilities for People with Disabilities
Expansion to All Types of Welfare Facilities for People with Disabilities Starting This Year
Applications Accepted Until 6:00 p.m. on June 30
Hana Financial Group will expand its renovation and vehicle support program for aging facilities to ensure a healthy daily life and mobility rights for people with disabilities.
Hana Financial Group announced on June 8 that it plans to select 20 welfare facilities for people with disabilities to receive renovation support and 15 facilities to receive vehicle support.
This initiative aims to prevent various social risks, such as safety accidents and human rights violations, by renovating aging facilities for people with disabilities, and to enhance mobility convenience for people with disabilities by providing vehicle support.
Starting this year, the scope of support has been expanded to include not only residential facilities for people with disabilities, but also vocational, medical, and community rehabilitation centers, as well as independent living support facilities, covering all types of "welfare facilities for people with disabilities" as defined under Article 58 of the Welfare of Disabled Persons Act. "Wheelchair lift-equipped compact cars" have also been introduced to the supported vehicles to enable people using mobility aids such as wheelchairs to board more easily.
To be eligible for renovation support, facilities must meet all of the following criteria: at least 10 years since opening, the building must hold fire insurance, there must be no plan to relocate within five years, and the facility must not have received similar support from corporations or local governments in the past three years.
For vehicle support, facilities must have been in operation for at least three years, require replacement of an existing vehicle due to aging, and must not have received similar support from corporations or local governments in the past five years.
Applications can be submitted through the official Hana Financial Group website until 6:00 p.m. on June 30. A selection committee composed of academic and field experts will conduct a professional review and on-site inspection, comprehensively considering detailed criteria such as number of residents, proportion of severely disabled individuals, facility location, as well as urgency and effectiveness, before making final selections.
