Samil PwC to Hold "Internal Control Future Strategy Seminar... Responding to AI and Security Risks"
Scheduled for July 18
Responding to Legal Revisions, AI, and Cyber Risks
Presenting Internal Control Strategies
Samil PwC is organizing an event to discuss proactive risk management strategies for companies in response to the proliferation of artificial intelligence (AI) and escalating cyber security threats. The event aims to provide practical guidelines to corporate practitioners by sharing response models and automation case studies.
On June 8, a representative from Samil PwC announced, "On July 18 at 3 p.m., we will hold the '7th Internal Control Future Strategy Seminar' under the theme of 'AI Proliferation and Cyber Security Era: Internal Control Response Strategies,' at the Amore Hall on the 2nd floor of our headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul."
Recently, amendments to the Commercial Act have strengthened the responsibilities of boards of directors and expanded internal control regulations. In addition, the implementation of AI technologies and the growing threat of cyber security attacks have compounded both internal and external risks, leading to an increased need for companies to establish an integrated internal control system that goes beyond mere regulatory compliance.
At this seminar, Samil PwC experts in internal control, risk, AI, and cyber security will deliver presentations, broadly sharing practical response strategies.
In the first session, Partner Lim Sungjae will present on "The Evolution and Trend Analysis of Internal Control." The second session will feature Partner Yoon Yuhyun, who will discuss cases of internal control automation and advancement using AI, as well as strategies for managing risks inherent to AI models themselves. In the third session, Partner Hong Woosik will address how to redesign internal controls from a security perspective, and in the final session, Partner Kim Doosam will introduce an integrated internal control operation model from the enterprise-wide perspective.
Lim Sungjae, who planned the seminar, emphasized, "In an environment where regulatory tightening, AI proliferation, and cyber threats are all intensifying simultaneously, the core issue for companies is not simply regulatory compliance, but the establishment of a trust-based integrated risk management system."
