The two companies plan to combine Doosan's product and manufacturing capabilities with NVIDIA's accelerated computing and physical AI platform to discover new business opportunities in the AI era.
Jungwon Park, Chairman of Doosan Group, said, "Doosan has developed technologies in the fields of energy, robotics, and advanced materials based on its long-standing manufacturing capabilities. This collaboration will be a significant help in integrating AI across our businesses and seeking new opportunities as we enter the era of AI factories."
Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, stated, "Korea is a global manufacturing powerhouse. By combining NVIDIA's DSX and physical AI with Doosan's businesses in energy, robotics, and advanced materials, we can secure new drivers of growth in the fields of intelligent robotics, autonomous industrial equipment, and next-generation infrastructure."
DSX is NVIDIA's AI factory architecture that integrates computing, networking, storage, and power. NVIDIA is positioning DSX as the standard platform for building next-generation AI data centers and AI factories.
In the energy sector, Doosan Enerbility's gas turbines and small modular reactors (SMR), as well as Doosan Fuel Cell's hydrogen fuel cells, are expected to be utilized on NVIDIA's AI factory platform, DSX. The two companies have agreed to jointly review the design of power supply for AI data centers and AI factories, the optimization of power generation facilities, and the construction of low-carbon power sources.
In robotics, Doosan Robotics is developing an agentic robot operating system using NVIDIA's Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, Cosmos, Newton, and Jetson Thor, and is also pursuing collaboration on intelligent robot solutions for industrial sites. The companies plan to work together to advance perception, inference, and simulation technologies, enabling robots to independently recognize, make decisions, and move within their work environments.
Doosan Bobcat will also apply NVIDIA's physical AI technologies to construction, landscaping, agriculture, and logistics equipment. The plan is to develop world models specialized for industrial sites, allowing equipment to autonomously recognize work environments and perform tasks independently. Through this, the company aims to establish itself as the technology standard-setter in the compact autonomous equipment market.
In the electronics materials field, Doosan Corporation's Electronics BG will lead cooperation by supplying copper clad laminate (CCL), a key material for printed circuit boards (PCB) used in NVIDIA's AI infrastructure. The two companies have agreed to jointly explore ways to support next-generation AI data center infrastructure based on NVIDIA's modular server design platform, MGX.
