Samyang Comtech Secures Mass Production Orders for Domestic Armored Vehicle and Export K2 Tank Armor
Samyang Comtech has secured successive mass production orders for additional armor for domestic armored vehicles and special armor for K2 tanks intended for export.
On June 8, Samyang Comtech announced that it recently secured an order worth approximately 2.2 billion won from Hyundai Rotem for additional armor for wheeled command post armored vehicles. In addition, the company secured an order worth about 3.3 billion won from Hanwha Aerospace for additional armor for 30mm wheeled anti-aircraft gun armored vehicles. Furthermore, Samyang Comtech secured a mass production order from Hyundai Rotem for special armor related to the export of K2 tanks. This volume was preemptively secured ahead of the main contract, including some quantities of an upgraded version.
In particular, the upgraded version of the K2 tank is an export performance-improved model that reflects local operational environments and required performance, demanding enhanced protection compared to the existing K2 tank. Through this mass production order, Samyang Comtech has reaffirmed its accumulated technological capabilities and supply stability in the field of special tank armor, and plans to actively respond to additional export volume expansion.
As mass production orders for Samyang Comtech’s main mobility equipment ballistic protection platforms are being secured as planned, the company’s prospects for achieving sales performance this year are also expected to improve. The company intends to stably deliver the secured mass production volume and continuously strengthen its growth base through new exports and technological advancement.
