Gooday Global, a global beauty company, announced on the 7th that it has appointed Changgeun Koo as its new co-CEO.
Koo, the newly appointed CEO, is a specialist in the distribution and platform sector. After starting his career as an analyst at Samsung Securities, he joined CJ Group where he managed group business strategies and served as CEO of CJ Foodville, CJ Olive Young, and CJ ENM.
During his tenure as CEO of CJ Foodville, he was recognized for strengthening the production base and leading the separation and growth of A Twosome Place, optimizing the multi-brand business structure. Subsequently, as CEO of CJ Olive Young, he played a key role in transforming the offline-focused drugstore into an omnichannel beauty platform. He also has extensive experience in enhancing distribution competitiveness, including commercial area strategy for stores, advancement of the online mall, fostering private brands (PB), and expanding K-beauty cross-border e-commerce channels.
With this new appointment, Gooday Global plans to strengthen its global distribution strategy and management system, while accelerating the expansion of its K-beauty business.
