"With the FLOW of Growth"... KCCI Jeju Forum Opens on July 15
Held Over Four Days at Jeju Shilla Hotel
Over 600 Chamber Leaders from Across Korea to Network
Special Talk Session Led by Chairman Chey Tae-won
The Jeju Forum of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which was held in Gyeongju last year, will return to Jeju this year.
On June 7, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced that the 49th Jeju Forum will be held at Shilla Hotel Jeju for four days, from July 15 to 18. The Jeju Forum, which began in 1974 as the "First CEO Academy," is the leading summer event for the Korean business community. This year, around 600 participants, including Chairman Chey Tae-won of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, chamber presidents from across the country, and CEOs of member companies, will attend to share the latest business trends and strengthen networking in a relaxed atmosphere.
This year's forum has adopted "FLOW," inspired by the waves of the Jeju sea, as its slogan. Each letter of the word "FLOW" stands for a theme fostering the sustainable growth of the Korean economy: Foundation (the basis for growth), Leadership (the challenges of leaders), Opportunity (opportunities unlocked by technology), and Wave (change spreading throughout society). A variety of lectures and experiential programs will be held under these four themes.
This year, Chairman Chey will personally take the microphone to lead a special interview session on "Korean Economic Growth Strategies." He will present directions for the Korean economy amid a period of global transformation and engage in in-depth communication with participants through a Q&A session.

Among the speakers are Kim Jounggwan, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, Choi Hongguk, CEO of Olgot, who is responsible for the recent K-food phenomenon in the U.S. with sold-out frozen gimbap, Kim Hyungwoo, CEO of Travel Wallet, who has pioneered zero foreign exchange fees and financial innovation, Jeong Kyungseon, Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) at Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, who aspires to create companies that solve social problems, and singer Sean, known for his philanthropic activities.
There will also be sessions exploring rapidly changing cutting-edge technology trends. Speakers include Lee Jaewook, head of the Seoul National University AI Institute and AI expert; Seok Chaok, professor at Seoul National University and founder of Galux, an AI-based drug development company; Kwon Seokjun, semiconductor expert and professor at Sungkyunkwan University; and Jang Jinseok, Managing Director Partner leading the digital division at BCG Korea, all of whom will propose strategies for companies to respond to the future.
For the first time this year, a "Deep Conversation Session" will be introduced. Unlike regular lectures, this session allows speakers and participants to sit together in small groups for in-depth discussions and tailored consultations for individual companies. Participation requires advance registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
During the forum, various cultural and experiential programs will also be offered to stimulate participants' senses. On the second night, singers Kim Jungmin and Park Mikyung will energize the festival atmosphere with powerful vocals, and on the third night, Cho Sungmo and Kim Taewoo will grace Jeju's night with their sweet voices.
During the day, participants can enjoy sightseeing courses to experience the nature of Jeju, as well as golf rounds (at Elysian and Raon Country Clubs) to foster camaraderie. There will also be night tours for a relaxing break. In addition, a variety of wellness programs will be offered as selectable options, such as singing bowl meditation, "personal color makeup" to find the color that suits you best, and "Jeju matcha tea ceremony experience."
There will also be a "Wine Networking" event to facilitate interaction among participants. This event will provide a comfortable atmosphere for participants to converse over a glass of wine, encouraging free exchange and meaningful communication.
Kang Myungsoo, Head of Member Collaboration at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "This year's summer forum in Jeju will be a venue for business leaders to gather in one place amid the rapidly changing global economic environment to spot future opportunities and seek new breakthroughs. I hope you will recharge with new vitality through not only management insights, but also networking and enriching programs that allow for both physical and mental relaxation."
