Discussing the Future Development of the Age-Friendly Industry Based on AI and DX
As the entry into a super-aged society becomes a reality, discussions on innovating care using artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation (DX) technologies are also taking place in academia.
Dongmyung University (President Lee Sangchun) announced on June 5 that it held an international academic conference on May 29 on campus under the theme "Innovating Care in a Super-Aged Society: AI and DX Leading the Age-Friendly Industry."
This conference was jointly organized by Dongmyung University and the Korean Society of Age-Friendly Industry as part of the university’s "TU Busan AI·DX Convergence Talent Development Project." Domestic and international experts, along with students, attended the event to share the latest trends and future directions for the AI·DX-based age-friendly industry.

Participants shared case studies of care service innovation utilizing AI technologies and discussed ways to improve the quality of life for the elderly, exchanging views on the future development of the age-friendly industry.
The event provided students with opportunities to explore promising future fields such as AI-based age-friendly industry, digital healthcare, and smart care. They also examined real-world examples of AI·DX technologies used in the industry, helping them to consider related career paths.
