Offered Money for the Acts, But Received No Payment
A teenager who vandalized the front door and walls with spray paint and threw filth before fleeing from apartments in Daejeon and North Jeolla Province has been apprehended by the police.
According to Yonhap News on June 5, the Daejeon Dongbu Police Station has arrested a teenage boy, referred to as A, on suspicion of property damage and is currently investigating him.
A is accused of visiting an apartment in Dong-gu, Daejeon, at around 1 a.m. on May 24 and vandalizing the front door and walls with spray paint and filth.

View original imageThe victim, identified as B, discovered the damage at around 7:30 a.m. on the same day and reported it to the police.
According to the police, the name written on the front door at the time was neither that of B nor the previous resident.
After receiving the report, the police apprehended A near his residence in Gyeonggi Province on May 25, the following day.
The investigation revealed that A had committed a similar offense using the same method at an apartment in Namwon, North Jeolla Province, at around 1 p.m. on the same day.
During the police investigation, A reportedly stated that the crime was committed after receiving a so-called "revenge-for-hire" request targeting a specific residence via Telegram.
A also testified that he was offered money through Telegram in exchange for carrying out the crime, but it is known that he did not actually receive any payment after the offense.

The police are investigating whether there was an individual who instructed A to commit the crime, as well as the circumstances surrounding the alleged revenge-for-hire scheme.
