The Canada Investment Roadshow, co-hosted by the Government of Canada and the Embassy of Canada in Korea, was organized to introduce the investment environment and business opportunities to domestic companies seeking to enter the Canadian market.
Samwoo International is engaged in the development of sports facility flooring and public athletic spaces based on eco-friendly material technology that recycles used sneakers. In particular, the company is expanding a sustainable business structure through a sports infrastructure model that integrates ESG and a circular economy.
Recently, carbon neutrality and the circular economy have become key topics in the North American sports industry, driving a rapid increase in demand for eco-friendly infrastructure. In particular, the Canadian government is actively supporting the adoption of green technology and ESG-driven management, which is expected to give Samwoo International’s recycled sneaker technology a strong competitive edge in the local market.
During the consultation session, discussions focused on the Canadian investment environment, business infrastructure, government support programs, and the potential for future cooperation.
Samwoo International has already established a local corporation in Canada and secured export performance, laying the foundation for its business there. The company plans to use Canada as a strategic base for its expansion into the North American market.
