Chairman Euisun Chung to Miss Jensen Huang's "Samso Gathering"... Expected to Meet at Yangjae Headquarters on the 8th

Absence Due to Scheduling Conflict

Euisun Chung, Executive Chair of Hyundai Motor Group, has decided not to attend a dinner gathering with Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, and leaders of major Korean conglomerates.

According to business industry sources on June 5, Chung will not participate in the "Samgyeopsal and Soju (Samso) Gathering" being held at a Samgyeopsal restaurant near Hongdae, Seoul, on this day. It has been confirmed that Chung must attend another scheduled event.

The gathering, attended by Tae-won Chey, Chairman of SK Group, Kwang-mo Koo, Chairman of LG Group, and Hae-jin Lee, Chairman of Naver, was initially expected to include Chung and Jae-yong Lee, Chairman of Samsung Electronics. However, it is reported that Lee is also unable to attend due to an overseas commitment.

Instead, Chung is expected to personally welcome CEO Huang at the Hyundai Motor Group headquarters in Yangjae, Seoul, on June 8.
The Hyundai Motor Group Yangjae headquarters recently completed renovations and has been transformed into a robotics testbed with the deployment of three types of robots.

Following a previous “Kanbu Gathering” last year, Hyundai Motor Group and NVIDIA signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) after a meeting between Chung and CEO Huang to advance domestic physical AI capabilities. The two companies agreed to invest 3 billion dollars to establish the NVIDIA AI Technology Center and the Hyundai Motor Group Physical AI Application Center in Korea.
